What is the Couple to Couple League? The Couple to Couple League is an international, interfaith, non-profit organization dedicated to teaching couples about the sympto-thermal method of natural family planning. CCL has been teaching NFP to couples since 1971. What is natural family planning? Natural family planning (NFP) is a completely natural method of birth regulation accepted by the Catholic Church. By the observation and recording of naturally occurring fertility signs, a couple can know when they are fertile or infertile and act accordingly. NFP can be used to avoid or achieve pregnancy. The sympto-thermal method of natural family planning is 99% effective in avoiding or postponing pregnancy. Also, NFP is 100% natural making it safe and poses no health risks. It involves no potentially harmful birth control drugs or devices.. In addition to the systematic sympto-thermal method of NFP, we also teach Ecological Breastfeeding which generally provides a little over a year of breastfeeding infertility. How can I learn more? The best way to learn natural family planning is through a qualified instructor. The Couple to Couple League has certified volunteer Teaching Couples available to instruct you in this method. Our course is normally taught in a three session class series. Classes meet once a month for three consecutive months. Each session is about two hours long. The reason for the three sessions is so that couples are thoroughly instructed in the method and are able to use it long-term. The course fee is $130 and scholarships are available for those in need. This covers the course materials, one-year's membership in the Couple to Couple League, access to members only website, and a subscription to CCL's very informative bi-monthly, full-color magazine, Family Foundations.
